UAE Unveils The First Metaverse Hospital

The latest report confirms that United Arab Emirates (UAE) has successfully introduced the first hospital in the Metaverse. The fully operational virtual hospital aims at providing all medical tourism services offered in the country.

On July 18, 2022, Thumbay Group, the team behind development, confirmed ready plans to launch the first virtual hospital in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to Thumbay, the Metaverse hospital will officially launch in October this year.

UAE has entered the history of crypto with its new Metaverse hospital. The new virtual medical functionality will allow patients to access the virtual hospital using avatars. Moreover, the new functionality will give patients an exclusive chance to communicate with doctors and specialists through their avatars.

While commenting about the new Metaverse hospital, Dr. Thumbay Moideen, the founder and president of Thumbay Group, stated:

“We are already working on it and expect it to launch before October this year.”

“This will be a fully functioning virtual hospital where patients can visit the doctor using their avatars. To accommodate medical tourism, we will permit patients to see what the hospital appears to be in the Metaverse if they travel and visit Thumbay healthcare facility.”

UAE Metaverse Hospital Overview

According to Dr. Moiden, the Metaverse hospital will feature augmented and virtual reality metaverse technologies. The new tech will allow patients to access services without moving in person to access health services in UAE.

Thumbay Group will start with long-term and home-based patients, especially those paralyzed or bedridden for more than six months. The virtual hospital will offer hospitalized patients AR and VR headsets to virtually access their homes.

Moreover, the Metaverse hospital will leverage artificial intelligence to authenticate the faces of each patient and identify their license plate immediately after they arrive at the virtual hospital.
