The Sandbox, a decentralized gaming virtual world and a subsidiary of a video gaming behemoth Animoca Brands, has partnered with France-based crypto-asset security firm Ledger Enterprise to provide security to brands entering the metaverse.
The Sandbox Taps Ledger To Boost Security In Metaverse
In a March 23 press release, The Sandbox confirmed partnering with Ledger Enterprise, a global security platform for digital assets and Web3, to offer security to enterprises joining the nascent metaverse sector.

Founded in 2014, Ledger Enterprise is a multinational security protocol based in Paris, France. The crypto firm is renowned for providing secure infrastructure solutions for safeguarding businesses and crypto assets.
Under the new integration, The Sandbox anticipates leveraging Ledger Enterprise Security capabilities to offer security integration to enterprise brand partners of the firm. The integration will make it easier for brands to secure their LANDs and the wallet containing The Sandbox NFT collection.
According to the announcement, the new partnership will feature multiple initiatives, including adding The Sandbox as a dApp on Ledger Enterprise, integrating a widget for The Sandbox in the Ledger Live desktop application, and building synergies with its LAND owner ecosystem.
The partnership will enable The Sandbox and Ledger Enterprise clients to migrate their non-fungible token collection from The Sandbox collection wallet to a more secure Ledger Enterprise crypto wallet for added security. While commenting about the new partnership, Sebastien Borget, the Founder of The Sandbox, remarked:
“We have a long relationship with Ledger and we’re excited to deepen our partnership to provide further security to brands entering the metaverse. We are making it easier for our users to access Ledger and for Ledger clients to access The Sandbox, and that will also make it easier and safer for individuals and brands to thrive in the metaverse.”
The Sandbox NFT And Metaverse Push
The Sandbox is one of the decentralized virtual worlds fueling the recent growth of virtual real estate demand. The firm has already partnered with major brands, including Warner Music Group, Ubisoft, The Rabbids, Cut the Rope, Tony Hawk and Gucci Vault.
Other notable firms include The Walking Dead, Invincible, Snoop Dogg, Adidas, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, SM Entertainment, The Smurfs, Care Bears, and Atari. The Sandbox envisioned empowering players to create metaverse experiences using original, well-known characters and virtual worlds.
