The Solana price tumbled 1.2% in the last 24 hours to trade at $145.57 as of 9:12 p.m. EST on a 60% drop in trading volume to $2.3 billion.

This dip in the SOL price comes as Fidelity files for a spot SOL ETF with a built-in staking option, signaling growing institutional interest. The filing with the SEC could pave the way for broader adoption by offering direct exposure to SOL along with passive yield.

At the same time, Bitwise and Canary just added staking to their Solana ETF filings. Grayscale, Franklin, Fidelity, and 21Shares all updated their Spot Solana ETF applications this week.

If the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approves them, Solana may be poised to lead the next altcoin season.

Solana Price Nearing Breakdown Point, As RSI Signals Rising Selling Pressure

The SOL 3-day chart shows Solana’s price action from late 2024 to mid-2025, with some crucial technicals to unpack. SOL is sitting at $145, down from its intraday high of $147.46.

The 50-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) at $159.53 is just above the price, providing resistance, while the 200-day SMA ($145.63) offers support, signalling a tight consolidation phase.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 45.28 hints we’re not overbought yet, but seeing as it is heading downward, it’s a signal that selling pressure is increasing on SOL.

The chart also shows a descending resistance line where SOL faced rejection before around $265 and $225. But with Fidelity’s ETF news, that resistance trend line could get broken. The price is also trending inside a consolidation zone and is currently testing the lower boundary of that range.

Solana Price Hinges On Support, But 2025 Peak Could Hit $350

If price breaks below the 200-day SMA and holds, it may result in a further drop to $105, possibly even $65, a 45% downside risk. On the flip side, if support holds and the 50-day SMA is broken, SOL price will need to overcome the upper boundary of the range at $195 for a shot at the previous all-time high of $295

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) is showing a potential bearish crossover, with the signal line below the MACD line. This indicates that buy momentum is slowing down, which could signal an accumulation phase before a breakout.

Fidelity’s staking option could increase yields, attracting institutional cash and pushing SOL past its all-time high of $295, hit in 2021. Analysts are hyped, with some predicting a 2025 peak around $300-$350 if regulatory vibes stay chill.

In the short term, SOL may witness volatility as ETF filings can spark FOMO, but rejection risks linger. A break above $195 could trigger a 20-30% rally by Q3 2025, landing SOL near $225-$265.

Long-term, with staking and institutional adoption, $350 high by late 2025 isn’t off the table, provided the market doesn’t dump.

Final Call To Buy $51M Solaxy Presale – Only 29 hours Left

While the direction of the Solana price is wavering, the first Solana Layer 2 Solaxy (SOLX) has surged past $50.7 million, with only hours left in its presale.

Whales are piling into the project as the clock ticks down, with 19 buys of more than $10k bringing in almost $600k in the last 24 hours alone. The largest was for more than $113k.

Solana’s blockchain is a favorite for its speedy transactions and low fees. But when the network gets busy, it can slow down or even fail transactions, frustrating users and costing traders.

Solaxy steps in to fix these issues with a Layer-2 solution, processing transactions off Solana’s main chain, bundling them up, and sending them back for final approval. The result is faster, cheaper transactions without clogging Solana’s network.

It’s a trick borrowed from Ethereum’s Layer-2 champs like Arbitrum and Optimism. The team has already launched a testnet, a block explorer, and a cross-chain bridge that enables users to move ETH or SOL into Solaxy’s ecosystem.

They have also teased the Igniter Protocol, a tool where SOLX holders can create and launch their own tokens, which can then be traded on a Solaxy decentralized exchange (DEX). This is on the way.

Get SOLX Now And Earn 82% APY

Popular YouTube channel 99Bitcoins, with over 723K subscribers, predicts SOLX could soar 100X once it launches.

Investors can also stake their tokens for an 82% annual yield (APY). Because the rate will fall as more tokens are staked, early birds win big.

Right now, SOLX tokens are selling for $0.00176 on the presale website, payable with ETH, USDT, BNB, or a bank card.

Those interested to join one of the most successful presales of the year have about 29 hours left before the project heads for listings on major exchanges.
