World Blockchain Hackathon to Introduce $100,000 Reward for New Competition

The World Blockchain Hackathon, a “100% community-funded global organization dedicated to inspiring and democratizing awareness and access to global innovation in blockchain & data science,” has revealed it would be bringing in incentives for its new competition to be held this October 9th to the 11th, according to a press release from the group.

This event is predicted to bring in over 3000 participants as well as 100 mentors from 50 countries around the world, the release continues.

The winning teams will receive over $100,000 as well as business and “tech acceleration” support, to ensure the ideas can continue development.

Speaking on the matter is founder Gideon Nweze, who said:

“In January LinkedIn named Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence as top skills for 2020.  By partnering with we are creating a global village of vibrant, innovative entrepreneurs who gain opportunity to showcase their skills, real-world projects and applications with the aim of attracting sought-after employment. We envision projects emerging from the World Blockchain Hackathon will attract the pre-seed funding they need to evolve into successful startups.”

Those interested can apply until 11:59 PST on September 30, 2020.
