Ronaldinho and David Beckham, two of the most legendary players in the soccer world, plan to venture deeper into the cryptocurrency sector. The two plan to boost fan interactions by launching digital tokens and non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

David Beckham and Ronaldinho venture deeper into crypto

Ronaldinho de Assis Moreira, a reputable Brazilian soccer star, has announced a partnership with P00LS, to launch the RON token. Ronaldinho said that the objective of the token was to create a better link between the player and his fans.

The RON token will allow holders to be part of the Ronaldinho universe where they can attend events, trade NFTs and launch exclusive content. P00LS Founder and Chief Executive Hugo Renaudin said the firm would allow creators and the community to access “a new model for ownership and value.”

“As one of the world’s most beloved and recognized sports stars, the launch of Ronaldinho’s token marks a massive step for his community, for P00LS, and for the creator economy at large. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome him to the platform and to the P00LS community,” Renaudin added.

RON will be created on the Ethereum blockchain, and it will be officially launched on April 28. Ronaldinho’s fans will have a chance to get free tokens through the P00LS launchpad before the tokens are officially launched. Fans can also earn more tokens if they correctly answer questions regarding the career and personal life of the soccer player.

This is not the first time that Ronaldinho is interacting with the crypto sector. Earlier in the year, the soccer player partnered with Graph Blockchain to create events and provide immersive NFT experiences to fans.

David Beckham is also moving into sports

Another legendary soccer player, David Beckham, is also moving into the cryptocurrency space. Beckham has filed three trademark applications for virtual clothes, entertainment events and NFTs.

Beckham is currently the brand ambassador for DigitalBits, a cryptocurrency company. The Athlete said that he wanted to interact with fans globally and create new experiences for them.

“I am always keen to find new ways to connect with my fans across the world. The moment I spoke with AI and the DigitalBits team, I knew that this was a major opportunity to create new experiences for my fans online. I have always taken pride in working with the best teams, and I am so excited to work on my NFT collections and more innovations in the future,” Beckham said.
