KuCoin, a “global cryptocurrency exchange for numerous digital assets and cryptocurrencies,” has announced it will allow users to buy Bitcoin with PayPal on the platform via USD, a release notes.

This means they can spend on Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies.

USD will be joining the Chinese Yuan, the Indonesian Rupiah, the Vietnamese Dong, and the Canadian Dollar in terms of support seen by the exchange.

The release notes that USD is 63.21% of all Bitcoin transactions according to Coinhills, which makes it first in the world.

Speaking on the matter is Johnny Lyu, the CEO of KuCoin Global, who had said:

“As one of the most globalized cryptocurrency exchanges, KuCoin has been expanding its fiat gateways. Now, our P2P Fiat Market supports Chinese Yuan (CNY), Indonesian Rupiah (IDR), Vietnamese Dong (VND), Canadian Dollar (CAD), and US Dollar (USD), the 5 mainstream fiat currencies. We also support 50 fiat currencies like EUR and AUD through our partnerships with Simplex, Banxa and PayMIR. In the future, we will continue to further our work towards globalization, enabling more users worldwide to enjoy the services we provide here at KuCoin, ultimately helping more users enter the crypto world.”

On top of this, the platform will run multiple campaigns to promote this new addition.
