Hunter Boden Meme Coin Plunges After Hunter Biden Guilty Verdict Even As Jeo Boden Soars

The Hunter Boden (HUNTBODEN) meme coin plummeted more than 49% in the past 24 hours while Jeo Boden (BODEN) surged over 15% after the current US President’s son, Hunter Biden, was found guilty on three charges in a federal gun case.

Prior to the steep drop, the HUNTBODEN price had reached $0.0022 yesterday after it pumped 116%. The BODEN price underwent a similar spike and pumped 26% to reach $0.20 in the 5 hours after a Delaware federal court jury convicted Joe Biden’s son on June 11.

The President’s son is a recovering cocaine addict, and was found guilty of falsely stating that he wasn’t a drug user on a form to buy a Colt revolver in 2018. He was also charged for keeping the gun for 11 days, and now faces up to 25 years in prison.

The market cap for Solana meme coins linked to US Presidents, collectively referred to as PolitiFi coins on Coingecko, dropped 6% in the past day.

HUNTBODEN was the biggest loser. Its recent 24-hour loss pushed its weekly performance deeper into the red zone with 75% loss to trade at $0.0005544 as of 3:45 a.m. EST.

A similar token by the name of Jill Boden (JILLBODEN) linked to the first lady was among the worst performers as well. The token saw its price fall over 10%, which also added to its dismal performance over the past 7 days.

Donald Trump Meme Coins Among The Top Performers

Some coins linked to Biden’s political rival Donald Trump also saw their prices drop. Doland Tremp (TREMP) and Super Trump (STRUMP) suffered over 6% and 8% price drops, respectively.

Meanwhile, MoonTrump (TRUMP), MAGA PEPE (ETH), MAGA (TRUMP) and FreeTrump ($TRUMP) were among the best performing PolitiFi coins in the past 24 hours. MoonTrump posted the biggest gain, registering a more than 56% price surge.
