Mark Goffman And Jessica Turner Join The Azuki Team
In an August 27 blog post, the Azuki creator Chiru Labs, through its Azuki X (formerly Twitter) account, confirmed hiring Hollywood powerhouses Mark Goffman and Jessica Turner. Mark and Jessica will support Azuki’s entertainment division and craft a multi-year roadmap to bring Azuki to the masses. While ushering in the new experts, Azuki founder Zagabond remarked:
“Web3 native IPs has proven to be able to attract strong communities with short form content. While this is perfect for social media, we’re ready to take our storytelling even further. With Azuki reaching more and more people, there’ll be more chances for holders’ IPs to be licensed and used. Plus, we’ll see more demand for exclusive NFTs that represent our characters and membership in the Azuki club.”
Mark Goffman is a former Consulting Executive Producer at Hollywood, the oldest film industry in Las Angeles, United States, where the earliest film studios and movie production companies emerged. Today, Hollywood is home to not just the film and television industries but also to a thriving music scene, a burgeoning theatre community, and a growing digital media landscape.
How Will Goffman & Turner Help The Azuki NFT Community?
Mark, who has tons of experience as an executive producer, will help create the Azuki world bible. This foundation will attract top creatives to tell all sorts of stories within the Azuki universe. Earlier this week, Azuki introduced its first mini-short cartoon film with Mizuki (Elemental #9195). This short-form, social-first content built on the Azuki universe aimed to entice new audiences in the NFT sector with moments from Azuki characters’ stories.

Before summarizing his remarks, Zagabond noted that great IPs are vital in creating sustainable businesses through merchandising and licensing. In that context, Jessica Turner, who has an extensive background in franchise development for Harry Potter, will bring some serious value. With the new team, Azuki anticipates seeing red bean and Azuki characters featured on products worldwide.
