Pudgy Penguins, the team behind the blue-chip non-fungible token collection, Pudgy Penguins, has expanded its NFT-inspired toys offering to the United Kingdom. The expansion appeared just a few days after the NFT brand listed its toys in 2,000 Walmart stores across the United States.

Pudgy NFT Toys Get Listed In Smyths Toys Stores

In an October 05 blog post, Pudgy Penguins confirmed listing its NFT-powered toys in all Smyths Toys Stores across the United Kingdom. Smyths is one of the largest toy stores in the United Kingdom. In a presser, the Pudgy Penguins team wrote:

“We are ecstatic to spread blockchain technology and NFT IP globally through Pudgy Toys and Pudgy World.”

Pudgy Penguins team started selling physical NFT-inspired toys earlier this year through the e-commerce marketplace, Amazon, where the brand amassed more than $500,000 in purchases over the first two days, surpassing 20,000 individual toys sold.

At the end of May 2023, the Pudgy Penguins received $9 million in a funding round led by early-stage investors to expand the Pudgy Penguins global IP. The Pudgy Penguins team has leveraged the raised funds to continue pushing its vision.

Talking about the vision of the Pudgy Penguins in a past interview, Luca Netz remarked that “the Pudgy Penguins team is at the forefront of transforming the toy industry, merging unique digital experiences with blockchain technology, like Ethereum and zkSync.”

Pudgy NFT Toys Now Available In The USA And UK

Last month, Pudgy Penguins announced its expansion into Walmart, with its non-fungible token-powered Pudgy Toys now available across 2,000 stores across the United States. The retail collaboration with Walmart showcased Pudgy Penguins’ influence in digital collectible sales, boasting an impressive $400M in transactions.
