Tron is preparing for a change, and its CEO, Justin Sun, recently announced that the project has a new mission, vision, and values. He stressed that Tron intends to honor its original goals, and bring innovations to real-world solutions. It also intends to empower decentralized commerce and community, bringing these benefits to everyone worldwide.

He said as much during his recent speech, and it surprised the community by revealing how the project intends to do it all.

Sun reveals Tron’s new plans

According to Justin Sun, Tron’s new mission is to build a Metaverse free port. It will be coupled with the project’s vision of enabling global economic inclusion for all 8 billion people in the world.

Sun added,

The future of TRON will be a vibrant blue ocean full of opportunities where finance can be accessible to everyone in the world, and the network will eventually become a free port for financial services in the metaverse. As always, all of our services will be compliant and abide by the requirements of local jurisdictions.

TRON’s focus is on earning the trust of users, and to do it, it plans to grow more trustworthy itself. It will collaborate with regulators wherever its services are offered.

At this point, Tron’s TVL is the second-largest among blockchains. It also boasts a network with the most daily active users and also the most daily transactions.

Right now, its total number of accounts exceeds 166.58 million, with over 5.85 billion transactions since the project’s inception.

Tron’s new set of values

Tron has also updated its values and principles, both of which were clarified during the recent annual event. The project’s team plans to honor the values such as a champion’s mindset, embracing change, community obsession, and long-term-ism.
