The non-fungible token trading sales volume has tanked again this month, marking the third consecutive month since the NFT market began its downward spiral. The NFT market began drowning in February this year after the hype that drove its resurgence faded.

NFT Sales Fell 36% In April 2024

Data fetched by cryptoslam.io, an on-chain multi-chain non-fungible token market explorer and a crypto market data and analytics firm, indicates that the global non-fungible token market has tanked again this month. In the past 30 days, the global NFT market has recorded a trading sales volume of $1.05 billion, representing a 36% drop from the previous month.

Bitcoin, the same blockchain network that powers the flagship crypto, was the most-traded blockchain network in the non-fungible token ecosystem this month. In the past 30 days, Bitcoin-based NFT collections have amassed a trading sales volume of $486 million.

Ethereum, the blockchain network renowned for powering the majority of blue-chip non-fungible token collections, is this month’s second most-traded blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem. In the past 30 days, the Ethereum-based NFT collections have recorded a trading sales volume of $248 million.

Solana, an open-source blockchain that supports smart contracts, including non-fungible tokens and various decentralized applications, is this month’s third most-traded blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem. In the past 30 days, Solana-based NFT collections have amassed a trading sale volume of $158 million.

Polygon, an Ethereum scaling blockchain network, is this month’s fourth most-traded blockchain network in the NFT ecosystem. In the past 30 days, the Polygon-based NFT collection has raised a trading sale volume of $53 million. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and Polygon have recorded negative growth this month.

Bored Ape Yacht Club, a non-fungible token collection from the digital asset firm Yuga Labs featuring a limited edition of 10,000 NFT collections, is this month’s second top-selling NFT collection. In the past 30 days, the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT collection has recorded a sales volume of 31,031 ETH. Unfortunately, the Bored Ape NFT sales have dropped 19% from the previous month.

3. $PUPS BRC-20 NFT Collection

$PUPs, a non-fungible token collection created on the Bitcoin blockchain network using the Brc-20 protocol, is this month’s third most-selling NFT collection. In the past 30 days, the $PUPs BRC-20 NFT collection has amassed a trading sales volume of 1,049 BTC. $PUPs NFT sales have soared 1000% from the past month.
