ByBit And Red Bull Racing Velocity Series 2024 Explained
Launched in July 2023, the Velocity Series is a unique collaboration between Bybit, Oracle Red Bull Racing, and renowned digital artists. This initiative aimed at merging digital art and racing by creating unique digital collectibles inspired by race team data and telemetry from the RB19 F1 car. While commenting on the integration in a blog post at the time, Anndy Lian, Head of Partnerships at Bybit, remarked:
“The Velocity Series represents a unique opportunity to engage with our customers and fans, and we are excited to empower even more creativity through this collaboration.”
The Velocity Series stood for the first-ever collaboration between an F1 team and a star-studded lineup of digital artists, fusing the thrill of motorsport with cutting-edge blockchain creativity. These artists have all achieved remarkable success and have been universally praised by creators and collectors alike for their exceptional talent.
Rik Oostenbroek, a renowned Dutch artist known for his dynamic shapes and abstract forms across a multi-disciplinary approach, is a perfect example of a digital artist who has already launched their motorsport-inspired non-fungible token collections.
Bybit And Oracle Red Bull Racing NFT Foray
In August 2023, Oostenbroek launched his Moment, an exclusive NFT collection, which was minted only by the privileged Velocity Pass NFT holders. The NFT collection promises a fascinating foray into the 3D art world and is a testament to Oostenbroek’s evolving prowess in digital artistry.
Moreover, Oostenbroek also launched Flow State, an NFT collection featuring a limited edition of 1000 NFTs. These NFT collections were issued as gifts to the Velocity Pass NFT holders as an airdrop. Oostenbroek has previously created NFTs for brands like Nike, Apple, and Paramount Pictures.
The Velocity Pass NFT collection is a dynamic work of digital art that started evolving last season and will proceed throughout the upcoming season. The pass was a premium NFT that granted art enthusiasts front-row access to the Velocity Series, providing its holders with a wide range of utilities.
