Altcoin season is well underway for meme coins, with more being created daily, the latest being NoMeme (NOMEME) based on an Elon tweet on May 10th.
The most followed man on Twitter tweeted out to his 139 million followers, an image of a Milady Maker, a popular OpenSea NFT collection which promptly pumped from a just under 4 ETH floor price to over 7 ETH, before pulling back to around 5.4 ETH at the time of writing.

New Crypto Token ‘NoMeme’ Also Pumps
The NFT markets weren’t the only beneficiary of the viral Elon Musk tweet.
The latest 2023 trend is for meme coins to be created for no particular reason, and quickly in response to news events – one trending video recently showed how to create a meme coin in just 27 seconds.
Sure enough, a new coin on Uniswap cropped up in response to the Tesla founder’s tweet – NoMeme (NOMEME) has risen several hundred percent within the space of the last hour.
The new crypto project’s tagline on its website nomeme.io reads ‘why you no love meme no more‘, alongside a Uniswap widget and a Twitter handle @nomemetoken.

Another similar new token on Uniswap, Milady Meme Coin (LADYS) has also pumped over 2,700% today. View LADYS token on CoinGecko.
Bitcoin Price Crashes, Recovers
In an eventful day for crypto, the Bitcoin price also crashed when a crypto influencer posted that the US government’s Bitcoin wallet address was ‘on the move’, prompting fears that they were selling Silk Road seized coins.
The Bitcoin price then recovered soon after, when blockchain analysts and Twitter sleuths like @zachxbt noted the reports were false.
May 15th Update – the NOMEME token rose to $0.00097 before a correction back to approximately $0.0001 with a market cap now of approximately $1 million, and LADYS token rose over 10,000% before a pullback, with a market cap of $100 million.
