Melania Trump, the former first lady of the United States and wife to former President Donald Trump, has finally landed in the nascent non-fungible token space. The former first lady has launched a new NFT collection to celebrate Independence Day inspired by U.S. landmarks.

Melania Trump Drops An NFT Collection

In a June 29 blog post, Melania Trump confirmed launching a new non-fungible token collection on the Solana network. The new NFT collection features a limited edition of 1,776 NFTs, “the year of independence.”Mrs. Trump’s NFT collection comprised images from across the United States.

The new NFT collection will include the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Liberty Bell. Each piece has “a patriotic-themed music track.” While commenting about her new NFT collection in a short interview with Fox News, Mrs. Trump remarked:

“The 1776 Collection of artwork draws inspiration from several iconic landmarks of our nation, which I had the privilege of visiting during the time I served as first lady. Each piece provides a view into our nation’s history, culture and patriotism. I am proud to celebrate our great nation and remain inspired by the words contained within the Declaration of Independence.”

Before summarizing, Mrs. Trump noted that all proceeds from the sales of her NFT collection would go towards funding her “Fostering the Future,” a Be Best initiative that helps secure educational opportunities and scholarships for children in the foster care community.

Mrs. Trump Follows Her Husband’s NFT Footprints

The former United States first lady appears following the footprints of her husband “Donald Trump, who recently joined the crypto industry. Late last year, Donald Trump announced his foray into crypto and launched an NFT collection on Polygon, an Ethereum scaling network.

Trump Digital Trading NFT Cards featured a limited edition of 47,000 unique NFTs. The NFT collection featured Trump disguised in various suits, such as a superhero, cowboy, astronaut, etc. Trump NFTs offered holders exclusive benefits, including an exclusive invite to a Trump gala dinner or a meet-and-greet with the former U.S. president.

Trump NFT collection appears to be reacting sharply to the Melania Trump NFT launching, rising 2.4% in sale volume. In the past 24 hours, Trump Digital Trading Cards have recorded a trading sales volume of 1.36 ETH. The NFT collection has a market capitalization of $10 million.
