Martin Shkreli Claims Barron Trump Created DJT Token And Holds Private Keys

“Pharma Bro” Martin Shkreli has claimed that Donald Trump’s son, Barron, is the creator of the DJT meme coin.

Shkreli’s latest claim comes a day after he had said he was behind the TrumpCoin (DJT) token, along with Barron Trump.

“I taught someone how to make a contract, and they pushed the button, not me,” Shkreli said during an X Spaces hosted by Mario Nawfal on June 19. “Keys are with Trump, not me.”

Shkreli said Barron was the primary creator of the token, along with ten other individuals who were also involved. Shkreli emphasized his advisory role in the project, stating it was his sole contribution

The new development comes barely a day after ZachXBT won a $150,000 bounty from Arkham Intelligence after unmasking Shkreli as the creator of the DJT token.

Shkreli Distances Himself From DJT Amid Possible Parole Violation

Shkreli’s attempts to refute claims of being the sole creator of the token come amid community speculations over whether he could be violating his parole.

In 2017, Shkreli was convicted on charges of securities fraud and conspiracy. He was sentenced to seven years in prison and ordered to pay over $70 million in fines.

According to Adam Cochran, the founder of Cinneamhain Ventures, Shkreli is under a three-year parole term. During this period, he is barred from “any self employment involving access to client money or investments.”

Shkreli’s 3 year parole terms require him to give full financial statements, and to avoid “any self employment involving access to client money or investments” (as well as avoiding other crimes)

Cochran had earlier said that Shkreli was throwing Barron under the bus. If Shkreli is found to be the creator of the DJT token, he risks going to jail again for fraud and violating the terms of his parole.

In response to an X post referencing his parole, Shkreli said, “Read the law, idiot.”
