Jump Crypto has launched a bug bounty program that offers $1 million to Solana developers who identify flaws in the upcoming “Firedancer” independent validator.

Powered by Immunefi, the bounty program will run from July 10 to August 21, with participating developers able to tap into the $1 million rewards pool if they detect flaws.

Improving The Resilience Of The Solana Network

The Firedancer validator client will enhance the performance of the Solana blockchain, with its release coming at a critical time, given the significant increase in activity on the network.

According to pseudonymous developer @CantelopePeel, the development process for the validator client was going smoothly. The team was actively testing the first versions of the Solana consensus and fork choice algorithms.

Firedancer will support high trading volumes on Solana to ensure the network continues running smoothly even during periods of peak demand.

Despite the development, the Solana price is down 1.2% in 24 hours to trade at $137 at 04:40 a.m. EST.
