US Congressman Ro Khanna, who represents the country’s richest district in California’s Silicon Valley, is set to host Joe Biden Administration officials and American businessman Mark Cuban at a crypto round table in early July, according to a Bitcoin Magazine report.

Khanna’s team says the upcoming meeting is “the most significant meeting between policymakers and innovation leaders in blockchain to date,” Bitcoin Magazine reported.

This meeting comes after Cuban warned the Biden administration that its loyalty to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chair Gary Gensler, and its anti-crypto industry stance, could cost him the election.

Attendees To Discuss How To Keep Crypto Innovators In The US

Focus will be placed on how to keep “Bitcoin and blockchain innovation in the United States,” the story said. It did not reveal which Biden Administration officials will be attending the event.

Khanna is known as a pro-crypto politician, and he recently expressed his support for the House-passed FIT21 bill. The White House should support the FIT21 Act “to bring regulatory clarity for blockchain and crypto,” he said in a Jun. 3 post on X. Biden later vetoed the bill.

Pro-crypto Cuban recently addressed the Biden administration directly to warn them of the ramifications of the SEC’s hostility towards the digital asset sector. “I have said many times that Biden has to choose between Gensler or crypto voters or it could cost him the Whitehouse,” the billionaire said in a Jun. 9 post on X.

Donald Trump Prepares To End Joe Biden Administration’s War On Crypto

The upcoming meeting might be a response to former President Donald Trump’s recent endorsements of Bitcoin and the broader crypto industry.

After becoming the first presidential candidate to accept campaign donations in crypto, Trump recently reiterated his support for the industry during a campaign appearance in West Palm Beach, Florida.

“I will end Joe Biden’s war on crypto and we will ensure that the future of crypto and the future of Bitcoin will be made in America,” he said. “We’re going to keep it right here and a lot of it is going to be done right here in Florida.”
