Eric Trump, son of US President Donald Trump, is shilling cryptocurrencies again, this time saying it’s a great time to buy Bitcoin, sending the king of cryptos past $98k in Asian trading.
“Feels like a great time to enter BTC,” Eric Trump wrote in a Feb. 6 post on X, while tagging World Liberty Financial’s official X account. World Liberty is the Trump family’s decentralized finance (DeFi) project.
Bitcoin Breaks Above $98K After Eric Trump Comments
Shortly after the post by Eric Trump, the price of the largest crypto by market cap rose from $96,900 to above $98,000, where it continued to trade as of 3:30 a.m. EST.
This marked a less than 1% 24-hour gain for the Bitcoin price, which is still down over 6% on the weekly time frame. Trump’s promotion of Bitcoin follows a Feb. 4 post on X in which he said it was a “great time to add” Ethereum (ETH).
Shortly after that post, the leading altcoin pumped 6%.

Eric Trump’s latest cryptocurrency post follows comments earlier this week by Donald Trump’s crypto czar, David Sacks, who said Bitcoin is an ”excellent store of value” and that the US is heading into a ”golden age” for digital assets.
