Centrapay, a platform “focused on democratising digital assets,” has signed agreements with the Australian and New Zealand-based Coca-Cola Amatil branches to buy the drink from vending machines utilizing cryptocurrency.
This purchasing will be done via the Sylo Smart Wallet, which is not only a cryptocurrency wallet but also a private messaging application, reports FinanceMagnates.
Coca-Cola Amatil distributes a large amount of the companies bottles around the world, and Centrapay will only make it easier for customers to buy those bottles.
On top of this, due to the COVID-19 scare, this technology also ensures customers can purchase bottles without having to touch machines, which is a big boon for the current time.
As of now users can take advantage of the Sylo Smart Wallet at over 2000 vending machines by simply scanning a QR code on the machines with their smartphone utilizing the wallet.
One touch is all that’s required.
Speaking on the matter is Jerome Faury, CEO of Centrapay, who states:
“We have solved both these issues. Centrapay is pioneering the way to enable this new internet of value and bring its benefits to both consumers and merchants. And it comes with the added benefit of reducing physical contact and addressing the hygiene concerns we’ve all become acutely aware of due to COVID-19.”
