Players of the popular Telegram-based crypto game Hamster Kombat have soared to 150 million, more than Russia’s 144 million population.
The number represents a 50% jump from just a week earlier, when the game celebrated reaching 100 million users.
A Player Frenzy Ignites As Team Announces Upcoming Token Airdrop
A potential reason for Hamster Kombat’s explosive growth could be the July token airdrop that will be distributed among players who have accumulated points in the game.
Another factor might be the wild success of the project’s predecessor, Notcoin, another crypto-based Telegram app.

Notcoin’s airdrop launched on May 16. It did not take long for the value of the project’s native token, NOT, to soar. Ever since Notcoin’s airdrop went live, NOT has been on an upward trajectory. Its market cap also surpassed $2 billion last week, but has since dropped slightly.
Hamster Kombat Outperforms Mr Beast In YouTube Channel Growth
In addition to its Telegram popularity, Hamster Kombat also boasts a large YouTube and Twitter following. The game’s YouTube channel currently has 23 million subscribers. Meanwhile, its Twitter follower count has soared to 8.1 million. Each of these accounts has grown substantially in just the last week.

Leading YouTuber Mr Beast recently shared a screenshot of his YouTube channel’s statistics on X. The picture showed that his channel recorded 16 million new subscribers in the past month, prompting him to question if there has ever been a YouTube channel that has attracted more than 20 million subscribers in a month.
Hamster Kombat replied to Mr Beast’s post, revealing that the project’s channel recorded more than 22.7 million subscribers during the same period highlighted in Mr Beast’s screenshot.
GameFi crypto presales are also attracting massive interest recently with investors flocking to buy the Tamagotchi remake PlayDoge (PLAY). It’s already raised more than $4.6 million in less than three weeks, making it one of the most successful GameFi ICOs of the year.
