The XRP price has dropped 3% in the last 24 hours to trade at $2.25 as of 5:24 a.m. EST on an 8% drop in its daily trading volume to $2.4 billion.

The price drop happened despite Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse hinting that XRP could snag a 14% slice of SWIFT’s market dominance.

Speaking at the XRP Ledger Apex 2025 in Singapore, Garlinghouse said XRP could take up 14% of SWIFT’s volume in the next 5 years. Such a development would propel the XRP price to unprecedented heights.

XRP Price Faces Rejection After Breakout – What Next?

The 12-hour XRP/USD chart paints an intriguing picture. Currently, XRP is hovering around $2.24, with a slight dip of -1.07% in the last hour from $2.33. The 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA) sits at $2.271, while the 200 SMA is at $2.245, both trending downward, signalling a bearish tone  in the short term.

However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 49.49 suggests the asset is not oversold yet, leaving room for a potential bounce-back if the bulls step in.

A red flag marks a recent peak near $2.346, where the XRP price hit resistance and pulled back. The price is now testing a support zone around $2.246 (200 SMA). If it holds, there could be a push toward that $2.346 resistance again.

The green 50 SMA is curling downward, hinting at some bearish momentum building. A drop below the support might send the crypto down to $2.00, which aligns with the top of the falling channel, constituting a successful retest usually followed by a pump.

XRP Price Risks A 6% Extended Pullback Before Bouncing

Garlinghouse’s SWIFT claim adds fuel to the fire. If XRP captures even a fraction of that 14% market share, it’s substantial adoption for cross-border payments. Speculation is that this could push XRP past $5 in this bull run, especially with institutional FOMO kicking in.

For now, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) indicator shows a potential bearish crossover. The Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) at 0.16, which shows direction of capital flow, is flattening, which signals volume flow into XRP is dwindling.

In the short term, traders could expect a consolidation between $2.24 and $2.35. If Garlinghouse’s vision pans out and XRP breaks that trendline with substantial volume, it could reach $3.00—$5.00 by the end of Q3 2025. Investors should keep an eye on the 200 SMA support. If XRP loses it, the asset might slide to $2.00.

Solaxy (SOLX) Presale Crashes Past $48M – Only 4 Days Remain

As the XRP price struggles to break resistance, investors are rushing not to miss out on Solaxy (SOLX), a new layer-2 project on the Solana blockchain, whose presale just smashed $48 million.

Solana’s blockchain is popular for its blazing-fast transactions and low fees, but it’s not perfect. During busy times, the network can get bogged down, leading to delays or failed transactions.

Solaxy steps in using rollup technology to process transactions off-chain and bundle them up before sending them to Solana’s mainnet for final approval. This isn’t a new trick since Ethereum’s layer-2 solutions like Arbitrum and Optimism have already proven it works. But Solaxy brings this magic to Solana, and it’s got investors excited.

The team’s already launched a testnet, a block explorer, and a bridge connecting Solana to Ethereum. This cross-chain link could open doors for developers to build new apps for gaming, NFTs, or DeFi, tapping into both ecosystems.

What’s more, Solaxy’s Igniter Protocol, a no-code launchpad, lets SOLX holders create and trade their tokens on Solaxy’s upcoming decentralized exchange (DEX).

Investors are racing to grab SOLX tokens before the presale wraps up in just 4 days, and for good reason. Per the popular YouTube channel 99Bitcoins with 723K subscribers, SOLX could skyrocket 100X after launch.

Right now, SOLX tokens are going for $0.001754 per unit on the project’s website, payable with ETH, USDT, BNB, or a bank card.

Early buyers can also stake their tokens for a juicy 85% APY, though that rate drops as more jump in, so speed matters.
