US policymakers advanced a key Senate crypto bill that looks to establish a regulatory framework for US dollar-pegged stablecoins.
The GENIUS Act received bipartisan support in a 66-32 vote on May 19 just weeks after Senate Democrats rejected the bill on the floor the last time it was put up for a procedural vote.
Yesterday’s vote is a major step towards legitimizing digital assets and could lead to the formation of the first digital assets framework in the US.
The Senate crypto bill vote has added to the bullish sentiment in the crypto market. CoinMarketCap’s Crypto Fear and Greed Index currently signals “Greed” in the market with a score of 68, a substantial improvement from the “Fear” reading of 33 just a month ago.
Analysts have also predicted that Bitcoin could soon undergo a “massive breakout” after it returned back above the psychological $100K mark and notched its highest-ever weekly candle close on Sunday.

The Senate’s approval of the GENIUS Act has sparked renewed optimism in crypto markets, prompting investors to hunt for high-upside opportunities.
