As US CPI Inflation Softens, Here’s The Best Crypto To Buy Now

The US CPI inflation rate came in lower than expected in April, despite the first impacts of Donald Trump’s tariffs on prices, giving the Federal Reserve a tad more wiggle room on interest rates.

The US CPI inflation rate declined to 2.3% on a yearly basis in April from 2.4% in March, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Core CPI, which excludes more volatile food and energy prices, rose 2.8% on a yearly basis, unchanged from March and in line with analyst expectations.

Stocks and cryptos barely moved as investors parsed the data, which is moderately positive for risk assets despite lingering uncertainty over the longer-term impact of Trump’s tariffs on prices.

The softer-than-expected CPI print is a welcome sign for risk assets like crypto, easing fears of inflationary fallout from Trump’s new tariffs, especially after the US-China tariffs agreement announced yesterday.

With CPI ticking lower, the Federal Reserve may have slightly more room to maneuver — a cautiously bullish signal for markets.
