Sports apparel giant and a pioneering brand in Web3, Adidas, has revealed the very first look of the upcoming Alts by Adidas non-fungible token avatar, set to be released in Q4 this year. ALTS by Adidas is a Web3 loyalty program with a digital collectable avatar at the heart of it.

Adidas Sets To Launch An NFT Avatar Series In Q4,2024

In an August 02 blog post, Adidas, via the ALTS by Adidas X handle, teased the very first look of its upcoming ALTS by Adidas avatar, set to be released in Q4 this year. The much anticipated ALTS by Adidas avatars are scheduled to launch between September – October 2024.

Styled as “Adidas” since 1949, Adidas is a sports apparel brand founded and headquartered in Herzogenaurach, Germany, which designs and manufactures sports footwear, apparel and other accessories. Some of Adidas’ main market competitors include Puma, Under Armour, and, of course, Nike.

The sports apparel giant Adidas joined the crypto and non-fungible token market in September 2021 for 46 ETH and bought its first Bored Ape #8774, which goes by the name of Indigo Herz. Earlier last year, Adidas launched its ALTS by Adidas non-fungible token avatar collection.

ALTS by Adidas was the third phase in Adidas’ Web3 roadmap played out on its previously rebranded collect.adidas.com platform. The ALTS by Adidas featured a hyper-personalized and token-gated Web3 loyalty program, where the membership card is you, or rather the alternative you, your ALTer ego, aka your avatar.

ALTS by Adidas NFT Project Overview

The ALTs is an Adidas genesis NFT project enabled via blockchain technology. The NFT avatar collection gives holders access pass to a range of different benefits powered by Adidas, including early access to physical and virtual products, access to tickets for events and experiences, and a stake in the ALTs ecosystem.

During Q4 2024, Adidas, through its ALTS by Adidas, anticipate launching another set of avatar collections. The now highly anticipated avatar collection will feature a limited edition of 20,000 NFTs, just like the current ALTS by Adidas NFT collection. The ALTS NFTs aim to shape Adidas as the leading sports and lifestyle brand in the digital space.
