Fantasy Top, the once popular non-fungible token collection and play-to-earn game, has roared back to life after moving underwaters in the past several months. The play-to-earn trading card game launched earlier last year on the Ethereum Layer 2 blockchain network, Blast, and took the crypto and NFT communities by storm. This time around, the Fantasy Top P2E game has launched on Monad testnet, an upcoming layer-1 network.

In a February 19 blog post, the Fantasy Tops team confirmed expanding its sports game to Monad testnet. To celebrate the game launch on Monad Testnet, the Fantasy Tops NFT team is giving gamers 15 free digital trading cards to start their Monad journey. These digital cards will allow gamers to compete for exciting prizes and more than 5,000 whitelist spots. The first competition starts today.

Fantasy Tops is a trading card game launched on May 1, 2024, on Blast, an Ethereum blockchain network. The play-to-earn NFT game enjoyed a positive reception from the crypto community, recording over 15,000 new users on the launch date. The game resembles traditional fantasy sports and replaces football and basketball stars with the top crypto social media personalities on X.

Last year, top cryptos and NFT personalities like Ansem, ThreadGuy, Truth Terminal, and many others turned their PFP into hero cards, allowing users to insert them into their lineups for each competition. The NFT game allows players to crush rivals by creating card lineups that have real-world Twitter engagement during each competition and earn crypto and in-game prizes.
