OpenSea, one of the largest non-fungible token market platforms, has successfully added support for the Ronin blockchain network. This integration now gives its users an exclusive chance to mint top Ronin-based non-fungible token collections, including the Axie, Awaken Hunter, and Capy Game agent NFT collection. The OpenSea NFT marketplace announced plans to add support for the Ronin blockchain network on its platform earlier this month.

Ronin Goes Live on OpenSea NFT Marketplace

In a March 25 blog post, the OpenSea team confirmed supporting the Ronin blockchain network on its platform. The Ronin and OpenSea NFT teams have launched a free-to-mint non-fungible token collection to celebrate this huge integration. They have launched two limited-time NFT mints, one for Jin and one for Ronke. The OpenSea NFT team has been building for seven years.

Launched in 2017, OpenSea is a non-fungible token market platform that allows crypto users to buy, sell, create, and trade NFTs. This platform has rapidly grown to become one of the largest NFT trading platforms, with more than three million active users and a daily trading volume of about $4.5 million as of January 2024. OpenSea is also a non-custodial platform, allowing users complete control and access to cryptocurrency wallets.

On the other hand, Ronin is an Ethereum Virtual Machine blockchain network created by Sky Mavis, the team behind the popular Axie Infinity NFT game. The Ronin blockchain network is designed to host NFTs and blockchain-based gaming. It is optimized for fast, low-cost transactions and scalability. Sky Mavis Ronin began creating the Ronin network sometime in 2021 in response to the challenges of Ethereum’s Layer 1 scalability and high transaction fees.

OpenSea Blockchain Integration

The OpenSea NFT market currently offers cross-blockchain compatibility across the Ethereum, Polygon, Klaytn, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Zora, Base, Blast, Sei, B3, Berachain, Flow, ApeChain, Soneium, Shape, and Unichain blockchains. As part of its broader marketing strategy of making itself the go-to platform for NFTs, OpenSea firmly pushes to integrate over 20 blockchain networks.
