Moo Deng got a new foster parent—Vitalik Buterin—as Khao Kheow Open Zoo announced on Thursday.

MOODENG meme coin price on Ethereum, the second-largest blockchain network, skyrocketed
by nearly 70% in just an hour, followed by a surge of 275% in trading volume.

Vitalik Buterin Donates 10 Million THB to Khao Kheow Open Zoo

Vitalik Buterin adopted Moo Deng, a pygmy hippopotamus, and donated 10 Million THB to Thailand’s Khao Kheow Open Zoo, the zoo announced on their official X account.

The Ethereum co-founder joined the Wildlife Sponsorship Program, resulting in the surge in the MOODENG meme coin price.

The donation will be made in two installments, according to Vitalik’s statement. The first installment will be completed today, December 26, with the remaining 500,000 THB expected to be made within a year.
