According to a press release, the platform will hold a Brave-focused promotion to commemorate the event. An excerpt from the release: “We will offer the following two campaigns as W chances to customers who purchased BAT at the BAT sales office during the campaign period. ① 10,000 yen will be given to 30 people by lottery among customers who purchased more than 400 BAT in total. ② 1,000 yen will be given to all customers who purchased more than 4,000 BAT in total.” This promotion has been running since Sunday and will go until May 7th. Brave is a privacy-focused browser that allows users to block ads and other unnecessary trackers to enhance their browsing experience. To support those sites they’re blocking, users can simply opt in to donating BAT during their browse on each website. The project has grown significantly in the past few years. In fact, other exchanges like Gemini are looking to list the asset as well. Otherwise, the browser has seen millions in downloads, as InsideBitcoins has previously reported, alongside the asset now being listed via the Crypto Ratings Council, which increases the asset’s legitimacy.
