Hamster Kombat, the popular non-fungible token game, has banned over 2.3 million users from its platform for cheating ahead of its highly anticipated token airdrop. This renowned NFT game is set to launch its native crypto token ($HMSTR) sometime late this week and officially airdrop it to all genuine users on its platform based on their past activities.

Hamster Kombat Bans +2.6M Users For Cheating

In a September 23 blog post, Hamster Kombat confirmed that it has banned over 2.3 million accounts from its platform for cheating. These cheaters, presumably enough to fill the entire city of Rome, initially manipulated the system to increase their illegibility for the highly awaited airdrop. Hamster Kombat is slated to launch its most-hyped token, $HMSTR, on September 26.

Launched in March 2024, Hamster Kombat is a Telegram-based game that allows users to mine Hamster coins by managing a virtual crypto exchange. In this game, gamers play the role of the hamster chief executive officer, boosting the startup’s well-being and pushing it to the top of the industry. To achieve their objective, they invest in marketing, licenses, talent, new products, and more.

Hamster Kombat also allows gamers to earn Hamster coins by participating in various skill-based battles and investing in specific daily upgrades. Each hamster coin in the game is a non-fungible token that can be traded and sold on the marketplace. This game has rapidly risen to fame, recapturing the excitement of the popular Notcoin clicker game, attracting more than 300 million players in less than five months since its launch.

Hamster Kombat Recovers 6.8 Billion Tokens From Cheaters

Hamster Kombat has confirmed ready plans for its highly anticipated airdrop and token launch this Thursday. Nonetheless, the team has banned over 2.3 million accounts speculated to have manipulated the system to receive huge airdrops. In a blog post, the team noted that it had been analyzing users’ behavior for months before the TGE and had seen accounts that logged in at the same time each day and were tapping the same exact pixel.

Moreover, these cheaters automated their selling through software to get an advantage over regular players. Therefore, they have recovered over 6.8 billion tokens from these fraudulent accounts and distributed them among honest players. Hamster Kombat maintains that these cheaters don’t belong to its community, insisting that they care about players and market participants, especially long-term holders, and want to protect them.
