Cristiano Ronaldo, the crypto investor and the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who is currently pursuing his football career in the Saudi Pro League team, Al Nassr, has hinted about releasing more non-fungible tokens in the future. Ronaldo is still bullish about NFTs despite their market plummeting in recent weeks.
Ronaldo Hints At Launching More NFTs
On September 04, the Soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo went through a lie detector test to answer various questions about his soccer career, including his preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Ronaldo leveraged the podium and teased his plans to release more non-fungible token collections in the future.
The lie detector test video comes a few months after the soccer star released his second NFT collection in partnership with crypto exchange Binance. The NFT collection was released in July to celebrate the athlete’s reign as the highest goal scorer in the sport.
The ForeverCR7: The GOAT NFT collection featured Ronaldo’s remarkable achievement as the highest goal scorer in history, currently boasting an impressive tally of 838 career goals. The NFT collection featured a fixed set of 29,000 NFTs, allowing fans to own digital representations of significant goal numbers and unforgettable moments from Ronaldo’s illustrious career.
During the lie detector test interview, the soccer legend was asked whether he owned digital collectibles. Ronaldo said yes, and the lie detector confirmed that he was telling the truth. When asked about possible plans of launching more NFTs collection, he said yes, and the detector again confirmed he planned to do more NFTs.
Ronaldo Crypto And NFT Foray
Last year, shortly after ditching Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo signed a multiyear partnership with the crypto exchange Binance that enabled him to launch his first NFT collection. The collaboration aimed to introduce Web3 to soccer fans around the globe through various NFT campaigns.
Moreover, the Ronaldo NFT collection allows crypto and soccer fans to have exclusive engagement opportunities with the soccer superstar. Ronaldo’s bullish statement about NFTs confirms that the NFT market has a bright future despite some anti-crypto individuals pronouncing the sector as dead already.
