Bitboy Crypto Ben Armstrong beat meme coin developer ”More Light” in a boxing match, triggering volatility in their respective meme coins, Ben (BEN) and HarryPotterObamaSonic10Inu (BITCOIN).
The two crypto influencers took part in the fight night on Feb. 24, which was hosted by the combat sports company Karate Combat.
Crowd Thought Bitboy Crypto Would Lose
Pre-fight data showed that 62% of the crowd thought ”More Light” would win. But Armstrong beat the odds, and won with a unanimous decision after two three-minute rounds.
Following the unexpected outcome, BEN’s price skyrocketed 87% in six hours. It has since retraced to trade up 2.7% at $0.000005424, according to CoinMarketCap.
The BITCOIN price, on the other hand, plummeted more than 20% in 4 hours. Traders identified the pull back as a good buy opportunity, as the crypto surged more than 22% over the past 24 hours to trade at $0.05364 as of 5:05 a.m. EST.
“More Light,” the pseudonymous developer of BITCOIN, told Coin Telegraph that he hadn’t expected Armstrong to be so “amped up” for the fight.
Bitboy Crypto Should Consider Himself ”Lucky”
Members of the crypto community were quick to respond to the event. Ran Neuner said in a Feb. 24 X post that Armstrong should count himself lucky that he was not in the match with the Crypto Banter founder.
”I would have destroyed him,” he said
No, Bitboy does not suddenly deserve respect because he won a karate competition. “Ah, yeah, he left his family and ruined his life for all of us to see, one line at a time. But man, after winning that karate dancing contest, he really turned a corner for me.” pic.twitter.com/uj5AAk3ZuZ

Meanwhile, the pseudonymous crypto trader, HORSE, said that Armstrong “does not suddenly deserve respect because he won a karate competition.” He added though that the influencer has “turned a corner” for him after the match.
This latest development in Armstrong’s turbulent life comes after the influencer was kicked out of the BitBoy Crypto franchise and “left his family and ruined his life for all of us to see,” said the X user.
