SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci says President Joe Biden will pivot on his anti-crypto policies to attract votes from the crypto community.

The recent approval of spot Ethereum ETFs (exchange-traded funds) was a sign that the Biden administration is already shifting in this direction by softening its stance on the crypto industry, Scaramucci said in an interview.

Biden Should Ignore Anti-Crypto Personalities, Anthony Scaramucci Says

The hedge fund manager further said that Biden must ignore the “capricious whims” of anti-crypto personalities if he is to stand a chance of winning the November elections.

“This is a razor-thin election,” he said. “I don’t think Joe Biden wants to lose this election because of the capricious whims of Elizabeth Warren or Gary Gensler.”

The Biden administration pushed for the approval of spot Ether ETFs despite opposition from Gensler and Warren, Scaramucci said.

Despite being approved last month, spot Ether ETFs are yet to start trading, with the SEC Chair recently saying that the final approvals will take some time.

Donald Trump Is ”Crypto President”

Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump, who once likened Bitcoin to a scam, appears to be going all in to win the crypto vote.

At a fundraiser in San Francisco last week, he called himself ”crypto president” and said he will halt an anti-crypto crusade by the Democratic administration within an hour of taking office, Reuters reported, citing three people at the event.

Some of the biggest names in crypto were present at the event, including Coinbase executives and Gemini co-founders Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss. The event raised $12 million.
