The Onyxcoin price surged 11% in the last 24 hours to trade at $0.02102 as of 4.20 a.m. EST on trading volume that soared 101% to $201.31 million.

During yesterday’s surge, when Onyxcoin’s price reached $0.024, its Bollinger bands saw a major widening, which was a bullish signal.
The price pushed the upper band further up as a result of increased activity, but the bands started to narrow again after the price was rejected and it found its bottom above $0.020. While they remain wider than before the surge started on April 22, the price has only seen small fluctuations in the last 15 hours.
The project’s Relative Strength Index (RSI) shows interesting performance, however. It fluctuated between the neutral value of 50 and the overbought zone, often venturing beyond the value of 70. The big surge yesterday took the metric’s value all the way up to 90.
However, this was followed by a correction back to 50 as traders decided to take profits and start selling. As the day progressed, the sell-off pushed the RSI to 40, but this is when a new wave of purchases started, showing that traders were optimistic enough to move in before the RSI dropped to the oversold zone.
The increased buying power brought the RSI back to 60, but with Bitcoin correcting below $92k per coin, traders started selling again, and Onyxcoin’s RSI dropped to 40 again.
