BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Sees Bitcoin Hitting $700K As Goldman Sachs CEO Says BTC Isn’t A Threat To The Dollar

BlackRock CEO Larry Fink said Bitcoin will hit $700k amid currency debasement fears while Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon said BTC is not a threat to the dollar.

The comments from the top Wall Street CEOs come as the largest crypto by market cap experienced a more than 3% drop in price over the past 24 hours to trade at $102,661.93 as of 1:09 a.m. EST, according to CoinMarketCap.

Larry Fink Sets BTC Price Target At $700K

Speaking to Bloomberg on Jan. 22 during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, BlackRock CEO Fink said that small BTC allocations between 2-5% from asset managers would be enough to push the price of Bitcoin to the predicted $700K target.

He added that any investors who are worried about the debasement of their local fiat currency or question the political and economic stability of their country can use the “internationally based” Bitcoin to overcome “local fears.”

Bitcoin Not A “Threat” To US Dollar

Speaking to CNBC in another interview at Davos, Goldman CEO Solomon dismissed BTC as a “threat” to the dollar, and said he is a “big believer” in the dollar while labelling BTC as an “interesting speculative asset.”

According to the Goldman Sachs CEO, Bitcoin’s “underlying technology” has been a focus of research at the Wall Street bank, with the firm exploring how the blockchain can be used to “create less friction” in the traditional financial system.

He also noted that banks still face regulatory challenges and limitations when it comes to using Bitcoin, saying,” we can’t own, we can’t principal, we can’t be involved with Bitcoin at all.”
