Coinbase executive Conor Grogan said he has discovered 430 Bitcoin associated with Silk Road creator Ross Ulbricht that have been untouched for 13 years.

The BTC is stored across multiple wallets, all linked to Ulbricht, who received an unconditional pardon from President Donald Trump on Tuesday, Grogan said in a post on X.

These Bitcoins are not part of around 174,000 BTC confiscated from Silk Road wallets by the US government after closing the dark net marketplace, said Grogan, who is director of product strategy and business operations at Coinbase, the US’s biggest crypto exchange.

A screenshot of one of Ulbrich’s alleged Bitcoin addresses is shared on Grogan’s X post. The address shows a balance of 88.77 BTC, according to blockchain explorer Mempool.

“Back then these were probably dust wallets, now, collectively, they are worth about $47M,” said Grogan, adding: “Welcome back Ross.”

However, Grogan doesn’t believe that Ulbricht still keeps keys for these wallets. In one of the comments he added: “Unlikely if he has the keys still stored down anywhere, I guess I we will know soon enough!”

Ross Ulbricht Received Pardon From President Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump granted a full and unconditional pardon to Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht on Tuesday. Ulbricht, who created and maintained the dark net marketplace Digital Silk, had been imprisoned for 12 years.

“I just called the mother of Ross William Ulbright to let her know that in honor of her and the Libertarian Movement, which supported me so strongly, it was my pleasure to have just signed a full and unconditional pardon of her son, Ross,” Trump said on the Truth Social platform.

“Words cannot express how grateful we are,” said Ross’ family on the X account that led the Free Ross campaign, adding: “President Trump is a man of his word and he just saved Ross’s life. ROSS IS A FREE MAN!!!!!”

Ross Ulbricht was convicted of two life sentences plus 40 years for his role in operating Silk Road. The darknet marketplace organized the sale of illegal drugs and other forbidden goods and services, using Bitcoin. Ulbricht was arrested in 2013 and convicted in 2015.
