The Hyperliquid price surged 9% in the last 24 hours to trade at $21.02 as of 2:00 a.m. EST on trading volume that dropped 6% to $417.01 million.
The HYPE price mirrored Bitcoin’s performance this week, at least when it comes to the initial price dip. BTC fell from $95k on Monday to $86,138, dropping below $90k for the first time since mid-November 2024. Hyperliquid followed, with its token going from roughly $24 to the support at $17.
However, while BTC only managed to recover from $86.2k to $88.7k, HYPE saw a rapid surge that took it from $17.22 to $21.03 in less than 24 hours.
Hyperliquid Price Prediction
While the HYPE price is still down 10% on a weekly basis despite the strong recovery, the project has been seeing constant growth since dropping to just above $17 yesterday. Its Bollinger Bands have been fairly wide in the last 24 hours, which is typically a positive signal.
However, its price did fluctuate between the upper band and the middle line between the two bands, even venturing beyond it whenever it encountered a strong resistance and suffered a minor rejection.
The bands have grown tighter over the last 24 hours, which could also signal that the project’s recovery is losing its strength, and that the next resistance might turn out to be too strong for HYPE to overcome.
As for the project’s Relative Strength Index (RSI), it fluctuated between the oversold zone and the neutral area at the value of 50 for the first half of the day yesterday. Then, as the buying power increased, the RSI value surged to the overbought zone, fluctuating between 50 and 70 for nearly 20 hours now.
Right now, it is once again at 50, but given the fact that the project’s price seems to be losing its momentum, it is possible that traders will take profit and cause the RSI to drop to the oversold zone again throughout the day.
