New Shitcoin Mr Hankey Pumps 173%, Trends High on DEXTools

South Park-themed shitcoin Mr Hankey Coin ($HANKEY) soared on launch today, racking up a maximum gain of 173% before easing back.

The coin jumped as high as $0.003413, from an opening price of $0.00125, before paring early gains. It traded at 0.002499 at 15:00 EST, still up almost 100%.

Trading volume surged past $1.6 million as the shitcoin trended third on DexTools shortly after launch and also featured on Telegram’s trending pairs. It received a DextScore of 99 out of 99, the highest available for project reliability.

The self-deprecating shitcoin had sold out in presale in under 10 hours, raising $500,000. That’s 40% of $HANKEY’s total 1 billion token supply, showing the presale valued the shitcoin at $1.25 million.

The label “shitcoin,” sometimes used to disparage tokens issued by new and unreliable crypto projects, is commonly used now to signify a high-risk, high-reward opportunity.

Mr Hankey’s a Happy Turd

The coin is based on South Park’s popular Mr Hankey, a happy turd and the cartoon’s former Christmas deity.

In a so-called ‘’Brown Paper’’ about the coin, its developers say it’s going to be ‘’a whirlwind of hilarity and high returns,’’ and suggest it’s for investors ‘’tired of the dull, lifeless world of traditional cryptos.’’

They write that they are committed to pushing ‘’this bad boy” to be the fastest trending and best-performing token of 2023. “It’s a wild ambition, but hey, what did you expect from a bunch of folks dealing with animated shi*t,’’ they said.

Mr Hankey Coin’s official Twitter account has surged past 7,500 followers, and on Telegram they number about 1,600. BeInCrypto, Cointelegraph, CryptoPotato, Outlook India, and Coingape are among outlets that have covered the token’s presale.
