Luxury Fashion House Gucci & Yuga Labs Join To Launch Otherside-Themed Jewelry NFTs

Yuga Labs, the digital assets incubation firm and the parent company behind the famous Otherside metaverse game, has partnered with luxury fashion house Gucci to launch the Otherside-themed jewelry non-fungible token (NFT) collection.

Yuga Taps Gucci To Launch Otherside-Themed Jewelry NFTs

Luxury fashion house and Yuga Labs inked a multi-year partnership earlier last week. At the time, Yuga announced “Otherside: Relics by Gucci,” a limited-edition series of physical Gucci products and associated NFTs tied into the lore of Otherside, Yuga’s long-awaited ape-themed metaverse game.

Under the new integration, Yuga Labs, the $4 billion startup, anticipates launching a fixed set of 3,333 KodaPendants, an NFT collection representing both a physical piece of jewelry and a non-fungible token that will unlock numerous perks within the Otherside metaverse.

KodaPendants will come with a unique silver necklace and other digital perks. According to Yuga Labs, the new NFT collection will also unlock unique cosmetic options for Otherside avatars, which will launch next month. The new phygital NFT collection will launch on April 6, 2023.

KodaPendants NFTs Overview

Based on the site publication, the new phigital KodaPendants NFTs will be available to crypto users holding Koda or Vessel NFTs. Last week, Yuga Labs launched its much-awaited metaverse game “Legends of the Mara,” an upcoming 2D standalone gaming experience that expands the storytelling of the Otherside universe.

At the time, the digital assets firm noted that all users holding Otherdeed NFTs could claim Vessel NFTs, which would evolve into Koda NFTs during the last week of the Legends of the Mara game. In simple terms, KodaPendants will be available to all Otherdeed NFT holders.

Nonetheless, the physical Gucci pendants will be available to residents of select countries, including the United States, Canada, most European nations, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Residents from Africa, Central America, and South American nations are not eligible for the new product.
