US authorities interviewed Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss after claims of fraud he made against Digital Currency Group (DCG) and its founder, Barry Silbert, Bloomberg reported, citing people familiar with the matter.

Prosecutors, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Securities and Exchange Commission all attended an interview with Winklevoss in recent months to discuss his allegations, the story said. It added that a US Attorney’s Office had inquired about Silbert’s conduct.

Silbert and DCG have denied the allegations.

Winklevoss Claims that DCG Misrepresented Genesis’ Financial Health

Winklevoss alleges that Silbert and his company misrepresented the financial health and status of Genesis, DCG’s lending arm. While the company and its CEO had claimed that Genesis was in perfect financial health, the company is now bankrupt.

Winklevoss’s Gemini is the largest creditor of the bankrupt company and is suing both DCG and Silbert for misleading information.
