Crypto.com, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the market by trading volumes, has announced it will be adding support for one of the key tokens within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The exchange has listed Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) on the list of altcoins that can be traded on the platform.

Crypto.com adds support for Bone ShibaSwap

BONE is a token that plays a crucial role within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The listing of BONE on the Crypto.com exchange is a win for the second-largest meme coin by market capitalization.

The BONE token will play a vital role within the Shiba Inu ecosystem. The token will be used to pay gas fees on Shibarium. The latter is a highly-anticipated layer-two project by Shiba Inu developers. Shibarium is expected to boost the efficiency of the Shiba Inu ecosystem and make it competitive against other networks such as Ethereum.

BONE has significant utility because it is also the native token for ShibaSwap. ShibaSwap is a decentralized finance project and a decentralized exchange for the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

The listing of BONE on Crypto.com comes at a time when Shiba Inu developers are inching closer to the official launch of Shibarium. The Shibarium platform will enable developers within the Shiba Inu ecosystem to create scalable applications and unveil custom tokens linked to the SHIB community.

The BONE token has been up by 17% over the past month. However, the news of the Crypto.com listing has not aided the token’s gains, as it has been down by 3.8% in the last 24 hours. At the time of writing, BONE was trading at $1.57.

Controversy over the Shibarium launch date

There has been much speculation about the beta launch and the official versions of Shibarium. Shiba Inu’s pseudonymous lead developer, Shytoshi Kusama, has said that he will not provide any concrete dates for the launch of this project to ensure the community is not disappointed.

Last week, the pseudonymous developer posted a cryptic update on his Twitter bio that hinted that the Shibarium development might end. Shytoshi Kusama has been posting hints on his Twitter bio about the development that has been seen so far in the development of Shibarium.

On February 18, YouTuber YourPOP posted a tweet saying that the Shibarium beta would likely be released that week. However, the announcement raised doubts from the Shiba Inu community, with many disputing the release date because there was no official communication from the developers.

“To the SHIB community, Shytoshi just stated that the Shibarium beta should be live next week. Kaal is back in action,” the YouTuber said.

Shytoshi Kusama responded to this tweet, alleging that the YouTuber’s prediction was accurate. However, the announcement was inaccurate because the Shiba Inu scaling solution is yet to be released.

Kusama addressed the personal and professional challenges the Shiba Inu community faces. He noted that the project was targeted by an FUD campaign.
