NFT Sales Hit $767M In May – Bitcoin NFTs Explode 400% In Trading Sales Volume

The non-fungible token market data analysis shows that the nascent sector has recorded a slight growth in recent weeks after falling more than 25% in trading sales volume in April. In the past 30 days, the global NFT market has just flipped 3% in sales volume.

NFT Market Hit $767M In Sales Past Month

According to data compiled by CryptoSlam, an on-chain market data aggregator, the non-fungible token market has attracted a trading sales volume of $767 million in the past 30 days, showing a huge rise from the previous month.

During this period, Ethereum-based NFTs took the lion’s share, recording a trading sales volume of $394 million. NFTs hosted on the flagship blockchain “Bitcoin” emerged second traded NFTs, amassing a trading sales volume of $192 million. Ethereum NFTs have dropped by 22%, while Bitcoin Ordinal has pumped 400% in the past 30 days.

Non-fungible tokens hosted on the Solana blockchain dropped nearly 50% in trading sales volume to just $43 million, while NFTs hosted on Polygon, an Ethereum scaling network, dropped 43% to $33 million. Over the same period, Mythos Chain NFTs pumped 9% in trading sales volume to $35 million.

The NFT market has experienced a sharp spike in the NFT wash trades. Again, Ethereum has dominated the higher number of wash trades to over $420 million. Bitcoin has followed the streak with 5 million. NFT wash trading happens when buyers are the same people who selling NFTs.

Top Selling NFTs In the Past 30 Days

1. Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs

Bored Ape Yacht Club, the flagship NFT collection for digital asset firm Yuga Labs, has been the top-selling NFT collection in the past 30 days. During this period, the NFT collection has recorded a sales volume of $42 million. The NFT collection has dropped 5% over this period.

2. $ORD BRC-20 NFTs

$ORD BRC-20, an ordinal collection hosted on the Bitcoin network, has been the second most traded NFT collection. In the past 30 days, the ordinal collection has recorded $38 million, rallying just a few points behind the Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs.

3. DMarket NFTs

DMarket, an NFT collection featuring automatically generated NFTs on Mythos Chain, is another NFT collection that has performed well in recent weeks. In the past 30 days, the DMarket NFT collection has recorded a trading sales volume of $35 million.

4. Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFTs

Mutant Ape Yacht Club, an NFT collection from digital assets firm Yuga Labs featuring a limited edition of 20,000 NFTs, has taken fourth place in the past month. In the past 30 days, Mutant Ape Yacht Club has recorded a trading sales volume of $25 million.

5. Blue-Chip Azuki NFTs

Blue-chip Azuki, an NFT collection from digital asset firm Chiru Lab, has recorded a trading sales volume of $24 million, closing our top-selling NFT collection in the past 30 days. The NFT collection pumped 26% of the number of transactions.

Space Pepes Ordinal was the most expensive NFT collection past month, selling for $4.5 million 24 days ago. Uncategorized ordinals sold for head-scratching sums of $4.5 and $1.5 million last month. Bored Ape Yacht Club #4980 sold for $970,000 two weeks ago.
