The blockchain developer platform, Alchemy, has quietly acquired the non-fungible token launchpad, HeyMint, without much fanfare. Under this acquisition, the core teams behind HeyMint and HeyMint Quest, the firm’s web3 engagement booster, will join the Alchemy development team. The HeyMint NFT launchpad acquisition appeared just a few days after Alchemy acquired DexterLab.
Alchemy Has Just Bought HeyMint
In a May 23 publication, ‘The Block’ confirmed that the blockchain developer platform Alchemy has quietly acquired HeyMint NFT launchpad. HeyMint is a no-code platform for NFT creators that simplifies the process of launching and managing NFT collections. It offers NFT tools like allowlist management, wallet verification, and Discord integration to enhance the NFT minting process. HeyMint also provides a free no-code NFT collection creation tool and a giveaway manager.
HeyMint removes the technical expertise needed to create an NFT collection. It provides smart contract customization support and a minting page for teams looking to build on Ethereum and its Layer 2s, including Arbitrum, Base, Base, Linea, Optimism, Polygon, as well as testnets for each blockchain network. HeyMint facilitates community engagement by allowing NFT creators to integrate with Discord and other social platforms, enabling them to build relationships with their audience.
On its website, HeyMint claims to have helped over 40,000 creators earn more than $38 million in revenue through its NFT launchpad. Since HeyMint NFT launchpad is free to use, it offers tools that creators can use to monetize their NFT drops, such as by selling NFTs through presales and public sales. It allows NFT creators to create and manage allowlists, helping them fine-tune their audience and ensure a secure launch.
HeyMint Acquisition Explained
The web3 infrastructure firm Alchemy has acquired NFT launchpad HeyMint to grow its “smart wallets” unit. The NFT acquisition was concluded on April 30, and the terms of the deal were that the acquisition information was to be kept classified. Through the acquisition, the core teams behind HeyMint and HeyMint Quest will join Alchemy to expand the developer support for Alchemy Smart Wallets. While commenting about the HeyMint acquisition, Ronsmans De Vry, remarked:
“We’ve always believed that onboarding is the most critical and most broken part of Web3. At HeyMint, we focused on building tools that anyone could use, regardless of their technical background. Joining Alchemy gives us the scale to take that mission even further and bring secure, intuitive onboarding to the next billion users.”
In turn, Joe Lau, the co-founder and president of Alchemy, added:
“HeyMint’s focus on creating the most accessible and user-friendly experience aligns perfectly with Alchemy’s vision of onboarding the next generation of users and technology companies to web3, and we are excited to welcome their team into ours. Together, we will continue to improve and evolve Alchemy’s Smart Wallets.”
