Erick Calderon “Snowfro,” the Houston-based digital artist and the brain behind the Art Blocks and the Chromie Squiggle non-fungible token collection, has teamed up with Formula One racing team Red Bull Racing to drop a new NFT collection.

Snowfro & Red Bull Racing Drop A New NFT Collection

In an October 20 blog post, Snowfro and Oracle Red Bull Racing confirmed plans to launch a new non-fungible token collection. The now highly anticipated NFT collection is scheduled to start minting from October 25 on the Bybit NFT marketplace.

Under the new integration, Snowfro and Oracle Red Bull Racing have created a limited edition of 2,000 NFTs on the ByBit NFT market platform. Based on details shared, 300 NFTs out of 2,000 will be given away to Oracle Red Bull Racing fans during the racing in Austin.

The remaining 1,700 are now available for online minting in two phases, starting from today. In the first phase, Velocity Pass NFT holders can each free mint one of the outputs within one hour. A maximum of 1000 NFTs can be minted in phase one. A snapshot will be taken right before phase one mint begins to determine free mint eligibility.

In the second phase, all unminted digital collectibles from the collection will be sold in a rebate Dutch auction. In this unique auction format, all collectors will pay the price of the last NFT sold, and individuals who paid above the final price will receive a rebate after the sale.

Snowfro And Red Bull Racing NFT Journey

It’s not the first time Snowfro, the creator of the Chromie Squiggles NFT collection, has partnered with the Oracle Red Bull Racing team. In July 2023, Oracle Red Bull Racing (ORBR) Snowfro and the crypto exchange Bybit teamed to launch the Velocity Series, a digital art-focused joint project.

At the time, the three launched the Snowfro Remix Competition, a reward program that enabled users to win free NFTs. The four winners were to be given one Velocity Pass each to be able to free mint in the upcoming Artonblockchain NFT drop.
