CoinDepo has put a series of governance votes by COINDEPO token holders into effect, adding two deposit assets, sending charity payments to four organizations, and declining a proposed exchange listing. The company still handles product development, fund custody, and day-to-day operations, while holders vote on specific questions, including which asset to add, how charity money is divided, and whether a listing will be worth the cost.
Two Community-Chosen Assets Are Now Open for Deposits and Interest
During CoinDepo’s first asset vote (which was completed on July 23), holders were asked which cryptocurrency or token the CoinDepo team should add next. After 648 participants voted, EURC, the euro-backed stablecoin, won and is now available for CoinDepo users to deposit. The interest rate for EURC depends on the payout term the user selects, and can reach up to 16% a year.
A later vote, held between September 14 and September 18, selected SUI, the native asset of the Sui network, ahead of Hyperliquid (HYPE), Render (RENDER), Hedera (HBAR), and Zcash (ZEC). That integration is complete, so CoinDepo account holders can also deposit SUI and earn up to 17% per year (with the highest rate accessible for those who choose an annual payout term).
Charity Donation Votes Led to Confirmed Payments
CoinDepo has been especially active in the charity sector in recent months, with an early-August allocation vote being followed by a $21,000 payment round in which World Child Cancer received $10,000, GiveDirectly received $10,000, and Damark received $1,000.
Between July 26 and July 30, 567 participants voted in favor of a collaborative partnership between CoinDepo and Action Against Hunger. CoinDepo confirmed the partnership and made an initial $10,000 donation to the organization’s humanitarian programs in Kenya, with funds assisting in key areas such as nutrition, safe water, and livelihoods. Further monthly contributions from the charity pool were set after that payment.
The next charity round (the first to include Action Against Hunger) ran from September 7 to September 11. Holders chose to fund all four partners, for a total of $31,000. World Child Cancer, GiveDirectly, and Action Against Hunger each received $10,000, and Damark received $1,000. The payments support children’s cancer care in Ghana, direct cash assistance for families in Rwanda, hunger and nutrition programs in Kenya, and education and nutrition work in South Africa. CoinDepo published the allocation and a transaction link for each payment.
Exchange Listing Funds Retained for Future Proposals
The most recent vote, which closed on October 5, asked whether resources from CoinDepo’s Token Ecosystem should be used to fund a listing on Bit2Me, a Spanish crypto exchange. A majority of holders preferred to preserve those resources for future listings. CoinDepo declined the proposal and is reviewing other opportunities that could involve more prominent exchanges. No new listing has been announced.
How COINDEPO Governance Votes Work
All CoinDepo users can access the platform’s governance interface through their own private account dashboards, making it easy for COINDEPO native token holders to cast their votes in a matter of seconds. When a vote ends, the final results are published on the InterPlanetary File System and backed by Bitcoin timestamp proofs. The COINDEPO token balance snapshots used to calculate Governance Scores are published in the same way, and all records and procedure announcements can be found in the Governance tab of CoinDepo user dashboards and on the public governance page of the CoinDepo website.
