China’s Huawei Technologies is set to replace its internal software system, which was previously sourced from United States vendors, with its innovative in-house version.
Huawei’s Counteract Meta-ERP System Software
Huawei, China’s leading global provider of impeccable information and communication technology infrastructures and innovations, has today announced the launch of its in-house system software shortly after being entirely cut off from U.S. suppliers.
The technology firm held an internal ceremony celebrating the dynamic switch to the new Meta Enterprise Resource Planning system (MetaERP) in Dongguan, South China.
The ceremony was attended by prominent members of the ICT firm, including Meng Wanzhou, the daughter of the company’s president, Ren Zhengfei.
ERP software enables companies to manage essential business operations such as data records, accounting, and supply management.
However, the technology firm iterated ERP system supplies were limited by their US-based vendors three years ago, propelled by an alleged US government technology hegemony.
But this wasn’t the case some years ago.
Huawei was once the largest buyer of telecommunication components from the U.S. as it was necessary for the supply chain and national relationship amidst its permeated gadgets and networking industries.
However, in May 2019, the ex-president of the United States, Donald Trump, added Huawei to a blacklist called an “entity list” due to sprouted national security concerns which the firm continues to deny.
Since then, US-based suppliers have been required to obtain approval before selling ERP and other telecom equipment to Huawei.
Trump’s ban on certain sales crippled the telecom giant and wiped out millions of revenue for U.S. suppliers such as Broadcom Incorporation.
The start of 2023 birthed the official ban on sales to Huawei after long-suspected ties to the Beijing government and the Chinese military.
Huawei asserts to be proud to announce its breakthrough from the blockade thanks to its developers and software engineers. The in-house Meta-ERP has been distributed across 80% of the company’s industry annexes.
Although there’s been no announcement regarding Huawei’s plan to monetize their new goldmine system software and compete with industry leaders like SAP and Oracle, the Meta-ERP will provide potential business opportunities for the telecom firm.
Now above the U.S. hitch, Huawei asserts to expand to new regions and become the worldwide go-to firm for telecommunication services.
Huawei Expected Growth Amidst Ban
The United States’ curb of Huawei ERP supplies obstructed the giant telecom’s progress and threatened its core existence.
However, the new Meta-ERP system has changed the narrative. Companies can now leverage the system’s compatibility with cloud-native computing systems for greater efficiency.
Furthermore, Huawei’s business vision is steered at empowering every customer with incredible and cutting-edge technology across its software and hardware gadgets.
The global world is phased with uncertainties ranging from climate change, artificial intelligence, financial difficulties, and many more.
Nevertheless, Huawei’s board of directors remains bullish on the company’s unwavering commitment to working with existing partners, such as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the European Union of the Deaf (EUD), GSMA, Close The Gap, and many more, to answer the needs of customers across all digital scenarios.
As the year 2023 continues to unfold, the telecom giant will expand to several industries and collaborate with tech giants to provide a seamless experience for users, both now and in the future.
Integrating this high level of commitment will enable the innovative technology ecosystem to surge to peak heights and solidify its position as the largest global mobile ecosystem, slightly below Apple and Samsung.
