Bitcoin Bay, a self-described “blockchain and crypto solutions company” with a history in the space, is hosting its first-ever 6-week hackathon, according to a press release from the group.

Called Block Hack Global, the goal is to ensure entrepreneurs can work with blockchain technology, the release notes. “Block Hack Global provides an array of workshops and the opportunity to refine project ideas and pitch in front of serial investors,” it also states.

Speaking on the matter is Jay Patel, the Founder of EDGE196, who said:

“EDGE196 is excited to announce that it’ll be an Investor Partner to Bitcoin Bay for their event Block Hack Global this October. We are looking forward to connecting with Blockchain startups coming out of the hackathon & startup pitch event, and growing the Blockchain Ecosystem with our partners.”

Anyone with a history in blockchain is encouraged to participate, and this virtual hackathon will partner with York University, George Brown College, and other spaces within the industry.

Also speaking on the matter is Jason Fang, the Managing Director of Sora Ventures, who said:
