NFTs Cross $1B In Sales Volume

The non-fungible tokens market appears to be finding its initial footing to where it was during the late 2021 and early 2022 historic market bull run, with trading sales volume surpassing the $1 billion mark this December. In this article, we have listed some of the top-selling NFTs this festive season.

Data compiled by CryptoSlam.io, an on-chain market aggregator, indicates that the global NFT market is on pace to surpass last year’s total trading sales volume in the coming weeks. From around November 13 to December 13, 2023, the global NFT market has amassed a trading sales volume of $1,163,539,800. The NFT market is up 90% in trading sales volume.

During the same period, Bitcoin-based NFT collection has been the top most traded, amassing a trading sales volume of $477 million. Bitcoin-based NFTs are up 301% in sales volume from the past month. Bitcoin took over NFT market dominance from Ethereum and has since continued to flourish.

Non-fungible tokens hosted on Ethereum, the popular blockchain for NFTs, have been the second-most-trading NFT collection this December. In the past 30 days, Ethereum NFTs have recorded a trading sales volume of $378 million. Ethereum-based NFTs are up 17% from the previous month.

Digital collectibles hosted on Solana and Polygon blockchain networks have been the third and fourth most traded NFT collection this December. From November 13 to December 13, the Solana NFT collection recorded a trading sales volume of $163 million, while Polygon-based NFTs have amassed a trading sales volume of $41 million.
