This increase is the result of the NBIM upping its exposure to some of the biggest businesses in the Web3 space, according to Lunde.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&rdquo;It perfectly illustrates how bitcoin is maturing as an asset and getting woven into any well-diversified portfolio,&rdquo; <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said K33 Research analyst Vetle Lunde in an Aug. 14 post on X.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/image.cnbcfm.com\/api\/v1\/image\/107186363-1675159604516-gettyimages-1246352864-NORWAY_RATES.jpeg?v=1713869032\" alt=\"Norway's sovereign wealth fund loses $164 billion in 2022\"><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NBIM Allocates More Capital To Marathon, Microstrategy And Block Inc.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fund&rsquo;s exposure to MicroStrategy, which is currently under the leadership of <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/insidebitcoins.com\/news\/81-million-spot-bitcoin-etf-outflow-ends-positive-streak-as-bitwise-says-two-thirds-of-institutional-holders-increased-or-maintained-q2-positions\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> advocate Michael Saylor, has risen from 0.67% to 0.89%. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the first half of the year, MicroStrategy also added 37,181 BTC to its reserves, which contributed to the NBIM&rsquo;s indirect exposure to the leading crypto.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Norwegian sovereign wealth fund (NBIM) indirectly owns 2,446 BTC, an increase of 938 BTC from December 31, 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The growth likely originates from pre-determined algo-based sector weighting and risk diversification.
