Stripe is reintroducing crypto payments by enabling transactions with USD Coin (USDC), six years after dropping support for Bitcoin<\/a> (BTC) and other digital currencies.<\/p>\n “We’re excited to announce that we’re bringing back crypto as a way to accept payments, but this time with a much better experience,” the company’s co-founder and President John Collison said during an April 25 <\/span>keynote address<\/span><\/a>. “Crypto is finding real utility.” <\/span><\/p>\n With reduced transaction times and lowering transaction fees, Collison says “crypto is finally making sense as a means of exchange.”<\/span><\/p>\n Users will be able to execute payments with USDC on either <\/span>Solana<\/span><\/a> (SOL), Ethereum (ETH) or Polygon (MATIC). <\/span><\/p>\n Crypto is back. @Stripe<\/a> will start supporting global stablecoin payments this summer.
