Alameda Research CEO <\/span>Caroline Ellison<\/span><\/a> said a tweet by Binance<\/a> CEO Changpeng Zhao was partly to blame for the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX.<\/span><\/p>\n Her comment came in testimony on Oct. 12 at the criminal trial of FTX founder and former boyfriend, Sam Bankman-Fried.<\/p>\n She was referring to a tweet on 6 Nov. last year when Zhao announced Binance\u2019s<\/a> intention to liquidate its holdings of the FTX token FTT.<\/span><\/p>\n “Due to recent revelations that have come to light, we have decided to liquidate any remaining FTT on our books,” Zhao tweeted.<\/p>\n As part of Binance\u2019s exit from FTX equity last year, Binance received roughly $2.1 billion USD equivalent in cash (BUSD and FTT).
